Q: Do these wooden spoons contain any chemicals, dye, or anything that could leach into the food or environment?

As far as I know, they are just wood. I use them for crafts so I don't actually "taste" the product itself. I would be very surprised if anyone used any kind of chemicals or dyes on a spoon you put in your mouth. Hope this helps! :-)

Q: would these decompose in a home compost bin?

The spoons are raw wood, thin but sturdy. They do not have a finish (like varnish). I do not know if they would decompose quick enough for a home compost bin.

Q: Are these spoons good for hot baking goods? Example dipping in hot chocolate?

I’m not certain what you’re referring to when you say “hot baking goods” but they should be fine for stirring hot cocoa. I use them after adding cream to my coffee. I mainly use them to scoop wet pet food onto plates.
