Why Naked Women Look So Good: Understanding and Meeting a Woman's Deepest Needs

Insightful from the first sentance
Don't let the auspicious or perhaps suspicious title fool you. This is a beautifully written book that revels the heart of God as it relates to His greatest creation - woman. I was immediately struck by the honesty of the author. As a pastor, we lay people often think our clergy has mastered the frailties that we struggle with. Refreshing. Real. Relevant. This book offers practical advice to men. He does this by stating truisms such as "See needs her husband to affirm her when she tries to look sexy" and "Happy marriages are based on a deep friendship". I found myself actually taking notes and highlighting this book as if it were at textbook. The author also brings up some interesting things that I had not considered before. For example, creating the Woman was God's final act of creation - wow, that's a pretty important thought. And that God said, "Everything was good" except when describing Adam's loneliness. He said it was "not good". These thoughts made me stiffen-up a bit. I realized I needed to pay very close attention to the content in this book.I also appreciated the fact that this book is culturally relevant. It does not shy away from controversial or taboo subjects such as the effect porn has on a man's ability to truly appreciate and love his wife with full intimacy. Pay particular attention to the chapter, which states "God Celebrates Sex". It's liberating to see this in print and made me smile. Finally, although this book is written to men, I think women will find it equally valuable. This book validates their natural design from God and even gives them strategies for learning how to accept the love of her man. This book should be required reading for every man who is engaged, such as I am right now, and every man who desires a deeper, more God-centered love for his wife.

God's Purpose in the Creation of Women & The Intimacy We Were Both Created For
Of course, the title of the book is enough to get any guy's attention. But maybe that's good, because once he has our attention, Bill Perkins can set us straight about the purpose of the woman's body according to God's design and instruct us on the intimacy God created us to share with women. This is a quick read, but possibly one that calls us back to draw from again from time to time. He really presents a lot of wisdom very succinctly. For me, it immediately seemed that it could act as a good introduction to Pope John Paul II's great theology on marriage, now commonly called The Theology of the Body, which first came to us as:ย Original Unity of Man and Women , a very philosophical work, and later was introduced in a variety of versions for different degrees of understanding:ย Theology of the Body for Beginners: A Basic Introduction to Pope John Paul II's Sexual Revolution, Revised Edition , Theology of the Body Explained: A Commentary on John Paul II's "Gospel of the Body" , Man and Woman He Created Them: A Theology of the Body , and evenย Theology of the Body for Teens (Student Workbook) . Still, with all this, Bill Perkins is a good place to start! You will not be sorry!

Again A Must Read For All Men!!
I have to admit the title did get my attention. And then I saw the subtitle and it made me smile. That's a pretty big promise: Understanding and meeting a women's deepest needs. But the author delivered a gentle and biblical portrayal of what makes women attractive to men . This he did with helpful stories that illustrated the point being made. The eight needs he highlighted, one per chapter, resonated with me. And I must say as I read the book I felt better and better about myself. Because some of his insights were fresh the book was more than a reminder of things I had forgotten. But where Perkins did remind me of things I had forgotten, I appreciated it. The stick figures entertained me and I actually found myself looking forward to the next one. Anyway, you can tell I like the book and give it five stars. For the women reading my review: Buy this book for the man in your life. I promise . . . it's one book he'll read and you'll be glad he did.

Yes, Even Your Wife Wants You To Read This
Admit it, Mister... you like naked women!Feels good to get that off your chest, huh? (I'm talking about your chest now, not... well, you know.)In this brief and insightful book, Bill Perkins teaches us men that in the right place and right time... and with the right woman (that's your wife, buddy,) appreciating and enjoying the female body isn't something to feel guilty about. In fact, it's biblical!Although written for men, and Bill is a "man's man," his practical, step-by-step tips at the end of each chapter will soon have you and your wife behaving like you're steaming up the car windows again from the back seat of Dad's sedan. Only now you have to be careful with your back. (But the gear shift probably won't be in the way, unless... you dawg you!)Seriously, trust me on this one, your wife wants you to read this book then follow its advice. She will smile, you will smile, and God will be smiling down at both of you.

Two Thumbs Up
I am a 30-year-old unmarried woman and this is not the kind of book I typically read. The title and premise of this book pulled me in: Why *do* naked women look good to men, and what *does* this reveal about a woman's needs? I'm a curious person and decided I needed to know these things.I thought Bill Perkins handled the subject matter with utmost respect for both men and women. Problems are not glossed over, and very practical and needed suggestions are given for meeting the needs of both genders. The drawn illustrations really add a lot to the presentation of the message. I also thought it was Biblically sound. In short, I would definitely recommend this title, and think I would be a happy woman if I found a man willing to follow the advice in this book for having an emotionally and physically intimate marriage to the glory of God.
