1st one showed up DOA, replacement works so far, probably used though
The first one delivered seemed to be used and after charging the battery, it would not turn on. I am pleased with Amazon’s replacement policy on this product. I was disappointed that I had to use said policy. The second one showed up and was packaged similarly to the first. The battery was installed on the radio already both times and so I thought, here we go again since usually when you buy a radio the battery is packed separately. I turned it on and it works. Now another reason I believe this to be a used unit is that there are 21 frequencies programmed into the memory. I thought that to be odd as well, new radios are generally empty. This is a cheap radio and I don’t have high expectations. It works and that is good enough for me. Says it’s waterproof. I don’t intend to test that other than incidental contact with water, but on the other hand maybe I should submerged it to verify.

Good product overall. Was a little confusing to program but I figured it out.
