Brilliant book for Crochet flowers and leaves. Must-have-in-your-collection kind!

This book was for my mom and she loves it.

I adore this book! Beautiful patterns, and well written.I am advanced at crochet so I do find the precise instructions a little frustrating. Yes, I know, that sounds bonkers. Ms Sainio has written with beginner in mind, and her patterns tell you which stitch you are stitching into - it is obvious, however, this will be reassuring to beginners. For crusty hookers like myself ;-) who tends to skim, I sometimes misread. But that is just me of course, I've just learned to follow the schematics instead of the written pattern.For anyone who still needs very precise instructions, these patterns are for you, and they produce beautiful flowers.

I've made about a dozen different flowers from this book and have found the written instructions and charts very clear and accurate. At the beginning there's information on how to crochet for the beginner and I've yet to spot a pattern that couldn't be accomplished by a beginner. There's a few pages showing all the possible flowers which makes a handy starting place.I love how there's also sections on leaves, butterflies and even a caterpillar! This is a beautiful book and crocheting flowers is now my favourite pastime!

I borrowed this book from the library, I renewed it so many times I had to buy a copy so someone else could get a chance to borrow it. Easy to follow UK instructions, diagrams too.

My first foray into thread crochet began with this book. I delayed starting the designs because I thought it would be difficult but the explanations and diagrams are so good that by working my way through from the beginning (the designs are graded according to difficulty) I quickly gained confidence and was able to reproduce the flowers. Beautifully illustrated and ideas for how to use the motifs.

This is a really nice book to use. It has lots of lovely patterns which are really well explained with both written descriptions and diagrams. It also uses English terminology. I have made several of the flowers and leaves in this book and they have worked out really well.
