You can rarely trust amazon reviews anymore. I often only read 3 star reviews because I feel they are more honest, they ain't p-d off and just trashing the product with 1 stars or they haven't been paid for a 5 star. I bought this camera because I needed this specific design for a project. I didn't expect the video to be great or the app to function perfectly and intuitively. So I received the first camera, went through setup, only wanted 5 minute clips with no motion detection. Well, no matter what I did or what setting I changed, it was stuck on motion detection and would record tons and tons of 5-9 second clips. It would also record 3-5 minutes videos but never just 5 minute clips. This filled the card with way too many files to deal with easily. I sent a message to the seller through amazon and received a response within 24 hours. Tried what was recommended but didn't fix issue. Resent them a message and it took about a week for a response. Now I'm unhappy and about to give a 1 star review and return the camera but wait for their response. Finally get a message that they have sent a new camera and I'll be receiving it in a few days. About 5 days later I get the new camera. Go through setup and It works perfectly. Saves only 5 minute clips and video is as clear as one should expect from a camera this small which is decently clear. I'm happy with the product and the seller made things right.So things I like- Video is pretty clear, definitely not amazing but good enough. Having 19cm or 7.5in of cable from lens to body gives options. wifi streaming although I don't plan on using it.Things I don't like- Have to reconnect to app each time you restart the app so pretty much anytime you want live view. sound isn't great but thats ok.Things just to know- lens cable is thin and flimsy so getting lens to point where you want is hard but also good for routing where needed. App stinks but works, it will drain your battery very fast if not force stopped. I'm sure the app is sucking all of my info but I'm not paranoid because google and any other service you use is already doing that.Bottom line is this is a great camera if you get it with the proper expectations. You won't be filming Hollywood movies with it but you shouldn't expect close to that either. I want to thank the seller for making things right.

Honestly a great little camera, it is actually smaller than I thought it would be. The definition is good too.I bought it to watch birds and critters in the creek outside my apartment window and it just so happens to also be great at catch the neighbors smoking crack on their patio so I can finally document it and maybe I'll be able to keep my window open during the summer without my apartment smelling like a crack house. Really good at both.For anyone wondering, the ribbon connector to the camera is super thin and flimsy, which is not a bad thing, just expect it. I was expecting something that I could bend into shape, so I had to get a bit creative on my end and attach some armature wire so I could bend it into place.Also I'm still experimenting with the battery life, but it definitely wasn't as much as I thought it'd be. I think it might be best to get a usb battery pack and attach it to this to extend the battery life. As I said, I still need to experiment because maybe the motion detection gives better life than constant recording.I ended up buying an ultra-long charging cable and keep it plugged in.I never see anyone actually post pictures of the actual quality, so I'm attaching an snapshot from the camera here.

Works great. Exactly as advertised. Only issue is that the app constantly asks you to connect up to a wifi so you can connect to it from anywhere. Since I’m only using this as a pvs14 nvg recorder project, I don’t need that and the prompt can be a bit annoying. Besides that it can record 5-15min intervals and will start a new recording once that recording is done (only with sd -card), or you can manually save a recording straight to your phone w/out an sd-card.

Just got this and couldn’t wait to try it — and wow, it seriously delivers! This thing feels like something right out of a James Bond movie.I was really curious to see how the video quality would be, especially considering how tiny the camera is — and I’m blown away. It clearly shows my entire bedroom without any fisheye distortion or weird lens effects. The picture is sharp and natural, which honestly exceeded my expectations. The sound quality is surprisingly good too.Setup was smooth and straightforward. The instructions for downloading the app and connecting were clear and concise. If you're using Android, there's one small extra step that took me about a minute more — but it's very well explained, so no stress at all.One of the best parts? You can place this thing just about anywhere — behind something, next to something — and unless someone is really looking, they’ll never notice it. It’s incredibly discreet.I’m already planning to buy another one (or two). Easily the coolest and most useful purchase I’ve made in a long time! And for the price, you can't go wrong. It's better than other cameras that are twice the price!

Camera is great. I don’t ever leave reviews but decided to on this one. I’ve ordered a few cameras on Amazon but was never happy. This camera is as described. Was easy to set up and works perfectly for what I was needing it for. And it out performs a couple others that I paid twice the price for.

Camera is very clear and to down load app and install was pretty simple . Very happy with my purchase it makes me feel comfortable when I’m not home that o can see what’s going on. Especially with the pets as well
