An Exceptional EDC Choice Light For Everyone!
An unbelievable tour de force of design perfection and a continuation of the perfect EDC light(s)!I must admit when I decided to "bite the bullet" and upgrade my well-loved Arkfeld Pro to the Ultra model, I did not expect to "love" a new model as I knew I was perfectly satisfied with my Pro. But when the Ultra arrived, I immediately knew when I opened the very classy packaging, that Team Ohlight in designing the box knew there was indeed a difference and wanted to make sure from the start, that I would know it. At least I felt that way. It was reminiscent of when I first opened a new phone from that certain California Company known for its design beauty. But since I had read reviews for the Ultra, I still did not really expect to appreciate a few minor differences. Was I ever wrong! When I first picked it up, I appreciated the smooth tactile surface. This OAL material was something special. While I'm not sure it was as was described in the description "leaves warmed by the sun after a heavy rainfall", but since I am having difficulty describing it as anything but "smooth" I'll just suggest getting one and you too will appreciate the design difference. The next thing I had to do was to read how to reprogram so that two clicks accessed "Turbo" and not as "Strobe" which is the way it arrives from the factory. I still don't understand that decision as I hardly ever use Strobe but constantly make use of Turbo! I really don't want to inadvertently access strobe multiple times a day so I was relieved switching back was simple.Next, I wanted to check out the U.V. light. I am someone that really uses U.V. several times a week. I travel and appreciate the ability to check out my hotel bedding for invisible bodily stains that may be a sign of a lax housekeeping staff. While I have not yet discovered any bedding issues, I have found multiple chair stains, the occasional bathroom issues and quite a few stains around Hotel trash cans where guests obviously missed their toss! I don't really wish to know what they were! I also have a pet Schnoodle and I now am able to use the U.V to check her skin for several things after bathing and happy to report she has been pest free, but it does give me piece of mind! Once again I didn't expect a difference between the Pro and Ultra. But there was quite a difference. First when set on U.V. I noted there was a larger Flood area with my Ultra. The center shows a nicespot which is bright and useful up close and then a significantly larger spill area. I don't recall reading that in any other reviews. Stat-wise there was no difference but there it was. So if you use the U.V., you should definitely upgrade.I purchased the NW model of the Ultra so I knew that my overall view wouldn't be as bright as my Pro in the CW. That said, I walk my dog several times a day at least a couple of those each evening. I appreciated how easy on the eyes the NW Ultra is for those walking in the opposite direction. Still plenty of light but overall better for dog walkers in my opinion so I was glad I made that switch in my new EDC.Lastly, the pointer is also much brighter to the eye. In fact, the green dot is down right a beauty when compared. Once again I did not expect any difference but my eyes don't lie!So there you are! In my amateur opinion everyone could benefit in some fashion by an upgrade. I truly don't believe you will be sorry you made the jump. Enjoy the Ultra!

The Ultimate Flashlight: A Fix-It Pro’s Unbeatable Sidekick!
I've included three pictures showcasing the UV light, the laser pointer, and the lowest brightness setting - because this flashlight deserves a proper introduction! After months of using it, I’ve realized it’s more than just a tool - it’s a brilliant teacher, guide, and performer all in one. With its UV light, I’ve learned exactly which spots in hotel rooms to avoid (trust me, some things are better left unseen). As an instructor’s assistant, the built-in laser pointer has made explaining concepts much easier. And when it comes to visibility, this flashlight’s three brightness levels each serve a distinct purpose - whether I need a subtle glow or full-on illumination. But here’s where things get wild: this flashlight is basically a magician. The battery life? Almost unreal. I’ve been using it daily for eight months, and I’ve only charged it twice! Then there’s the charging itself - magnetic induction with a seriously strong magnet built right into the base. On top of that, I can clip it to my belt or attach it to my hat, making it the ultimate hands-free sidekick. Now, to add a little context to the rest of this review - I travel across the country working with maintenance professionals across different industries. And if there’s one unspoken truth in the fix-it world, it’s that we have a deep, secret affixion with flashlights. Over my 50-plus years, I’ve owned plenty, but none have impressed me like this one. I take it everywhere. So much so that I’ve been stopped at airports multiple times because people assumed it was a knife! Once they realized what it was, they were genuinely impressed by its multifunctionality.Every maintenance pro I’ve introduced to it has the same reaction: this is the best flashlight they’ve ever seen. Some have tried going the budget route with a cheaper version but ultimately came back to this one. No contest - when it comes to capabilities, features, and sheer reliability, this flashlight stands above the rest.Man… this flashlight ROCKS!

EDC flashlight
I was looking for an EDC flashlight and this has been my go to. I had purchased the Arkfeld Pro, before getting the Ultra, and that worked for a while but the outer anodized aluminum got scratched up easily. The Arkfeld Ultra has a harder aluminum body that is more scratch resistant. Mine does have small scratches from me dropping it. is The magnet on the bottom is handy when mounting it to metal but it does collect shavings easily since there is no protector/cover. The battery life and the brightness is slightly better than the Pro but the harder body is worth the cost increase. REMEMBER TO PUT IT IN LOCKOUT MODE OR YOU WILL BURN A HOLE IN YOUR POCKET!Pros: more durable body / battery life increase (compared to Pro) / easier to grip texture (compared to the Pro) / larger/thicker pocket clip (compared to Pro)Cons: larger body (compared to the pro) /

Costly, but honestly it's worth it.
To date, still the best flashlight that I have purchased. It's bright, it has a lockout feature so it doesn't go off in your equipment bag or pocket, and works well.It is the only flashlight that I've found that is truly ergonomic and confutable in your pocket due to the way it's designed with it's flat surface and belt clip. I can put next to my knife or in a separate pocket. From a function perspective, the UV is kind of a toy, but the normal light and laser are super helpful. Flashlight is obvious, but I use the laser for pointing things out, walking construction zones, doing presentations, etc.Quality is great, design is great, battery life is great, power is great. I'm an major outdoor guy (Scoutmaster also), so this is a incredibly key resource I have with me at all times.
