Alligator [1980]

Alligator one of my favourite films better than Alligator 2 but both watchable.

is a 1980 satirical horror film directed by Lewis Teague and written by John Sayles. It stars Robert Forster, Robin Riker and Michael V. Gazzo. It also includes an appearance by actress Sue Lyon in her last screen role.Cult horror B Movie you just have to see and enjoy.

I've reviewed this title under the UK double DVD edition so I only bought this to compare the two. When this film was originally released in the UK, the censors saw fit to cut about twenty seconds from the run time. Looking now at both the UK DVD and the US edition it looks as though the previous cuts have been waived. To be perfectly honest, I cannot see why there should have been any cuts in the first place. After all these years, this film is still a hoot to watch.

Made on a budget but better then a hell of a lot of 'Monster' movies made then and since.Good fun and good suspence.

I enjoyed this movie very much, the alligator effects were surprisingly good for 1980. A good story well directed made this real fun movie.

Great old movie, used to love watching it as a kid....and if uv never seen it it'll have to biting ur nails and sitting on the edge of ur seat!
