Cleans well, but even more importantly, cleans UP well
I am really impressed with this carpet cleaner. Not only does it do the job of cleaning, but a lot of reasonable thought has gone into how this is going to be used, and how the end user needs to interact with it.First, assembly is a breeze; I had it up and running 10 minutes after it arrived. You need a Philips head screwdriver for two screws and that's it.Second: it really cleans well. I emptied several tanks of nasty brown water from carpets that looked pretty clean to the eye. The included shampoo has a pleasant odor that dissipates quickly as it dries. The suction is really good, although you will want to take your time and watch whether water is still coming up before you stop, which is easy, because they made the waste water tank clear and gave you a straight shot to see where the water being pulled out of the carpet is coming up into the tank. My low pile wool carpets were dry to the touch 3-4 hours after being cleaned; my deep fiber nylon carpet is taking a bit longer.Third: the entire assembly cleans up really well. Every bit of this device that handles water, especially the waste water, comes apart easily and smoothly so it can be cleaned. I was incredibly impressed. The only wet part you can't get to are the lines that run the cleaner or the rinse water to the head of the vacuum. That should be fine, since they shouldn't be in contact with waste. But the entire suction head of the device lifts away with a single release lever, the waste tank splits in half, with enough access to get to all parts of it, and the filters are all easy access. This is wonderful, because a thorough cleaning and drying after use is how you prevent mildew, which is the bane of any cleaning device that uses water. It is not a light piece of equipment, but that is actually a good thing. The head stays down no matter how far away from yourself you push it, which is good when you are trying to reach a place but you don't want to step in the wet carpet you just shampooed. I had the best of intentions of planning out my cleaning pattern, but inevitably there was a bit that go left out, or needed another run to help dry it, and it is nice that the weight of the head stays down so that it maintains suction at all times. It is also pretty big -- it is bigger than any other cleaning device in my home. If you live in a small apartment, say with just one closet to store your regular vacuum cleaner, mop, and other things, this beast is going to evict everything else. And you can't let that happen -- you do need to vacuum your carpets before you use this guy -- it uses very narrow suction to get the water back out of your carpet, so if you have long pet hair, long human hair, heavy dirt, or similar, it could clog it up. While it does clean out nicely, its going to be a long day if you have to stop every 5 minutes to remove a wet lump of afghan hound hair. And a final tip: when you go to remove the tanks, or when you are starting to clean it so you can put it away, I recommend moving to a hard surface, like kitchen tile. It uses water, it is going to leak some of that water when you take it apart. The waste water tank doesn't leak, but there is likely to be a little bit of dirty water that comes back out of the nozzle. And there is going to be a little clean water where the clean water tank sits. I found I could handle everything with just one-half of a paper towel, so it is pretty minor. But better and easier on tile than on your freshly cleaned carpet.

Best carpet cleaner ever!
This is what a carpet cleaner should do! I had several years worth of built up pet stains that my old cleaner barely made a dent in. This took them right up in a couple of swipes! My carpet has not looked this clean since it was professionally cleaned over 10 years ago. It has 5 rotating brushes on the head that really grind the dirt away, and for me the best part is the whole thing is easy to break down and clean. The dirty water container comes apart so you can deep clean it thoroughly at the end of each use, and even the brushes underneath come off easily. I'll admit that I had a little bit of buyer's remorse after ordering it due to the price, even though I got it on a Prime Day special. But within 30 minutes of using it I decided it was the best money I had ever spent! It will literally pay for itself in three uses. My old cleaner pretty much just dumped water onto the carpet and then sucked it back up half-heartedly but I could see the difference right away from this scrubbing brushes underneath. I will never use another shampooer again!

Effective Carpet Cleaner for Pet Stains
This carpet cleaner was a game-changer for tackling our dog's diabetes-related accidents. The setup was a breeze, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Unlike my small carpet spot cleaner, this machine effortlessly handled larger stains. I was impressed by its performance and how simple it was to empty and clean the tanks after use. While I haven't used the spot cleaner hoses yet, the main unit exceeded my expectations for larger carpeted areas. One downside was that the included cleaner bottle wasn't sufficient to fill the machine even once, so I recommend purchasing a larger bottle. Despite this, I am extremely satisfied with the purchase and find it to be great value for money.

Great for Small Spaces and Everyday Carpet Cleaning
I’ve been using the Hoover Power Scrub Carpet Cleaner in my two-bedroom apartment for several months now, and overall, I’m very pleased with its performance. It’s a solid option for anyone looking to tackle stains, odors, and general carpet upkeep without breaking the bank or wrestling with a bulky machine. One of the best things about this cleaner is its size. It’s compact enough to store in my hallway closet, which is a huge plus for apartment living. Despite its smaller footprint, it still packs enough power to lift dirt and refresh carpets noticeably well. I’ve used it on high-traffic areas and even some older pet stains, and it handled them better than expected. It’s also user-friendly. The controls are intuitive, and setup is quick. Emptying the dirty water tank is easy and mess-free, which I appreciate. Refilling the clean water tank is also simple, and the machine doesn’t leak or leave excessive water behind, which speeds up drying time. Why not five stars? While it works great for regular maintenance and moderate messes, it may not have quite the same deep-cleaning power as some larger or more professional-grade models. For really tough, set-in stains, you might need a few passes or a more heavy-duty unit. That said, for everyday use in a smaller home or apartment, it absolutely gets the job done.If you’re looking for a carpet cleaner that’s affordable, effective, and easy to store and use—especially in a smaller space—this is a great choice. Just manage your expectations if you’re dealing with heavily soiled carpets or commercial-level messes.
