RSVP Endurance Stainless Steel Butter Shaver and Slicer

The butter slicer doesn't get all the way to the bottom of the stick of butter, so you have to turn it over and push from the other side. The butter shaver, that's pretty much useless. It takes too long to shave off much butter so your toast gets cold while you do it, you have to hold the butter very firmly and it just doesn't get enough to go edge to edge very quickly. The angle of the handle makes turning it upside down to put the butter on the toast a pain too. If I had to do it again, I would buy it without that part.

I haven't used the shaver yet, but the slicer is amazing! I had read reviews of other butter slicers that were flimsy and broke if the butter was too cold (hard). If you must soften the butter before slicing it, it will stick together when chilled again. That is not a concern for this one. Not only does it slice cold butter beautifully, but, in a pinch, I even used it the quickly slice a brick of cheddar cheese? I cleans up like a dream with warm water and dish soap. I'm delighted with this wonderful find.

Easy to clean because it is all metal and I put both pieces in the dishwasher. The cutting sting is flimsy and thin and appears to be all connected so if it breaks the whole thing will be trash.

The Butter Cutter works well on just the right temperature of butterTook me a bit of trying but it will work.I cut little squares of construction paper to put each pat on. Nice for a stylish meal
