Excellent Inserts, work well
I bought these to put into a guitar body where I was taking the scratch plate (pickguard) on and off frequently and didn't want to chew up the wood with wood screws. I piloted the holes in the wood to slightly under the outer thread size (0.5mm smaller for hardwood, 1mm for softwood). The slot for screwing the inserts in is on the tapered end which, to me, is the wrong way round. So I used an M3 bolt locked into the insert with a nut and screwed the insert in with a drill on very slow. Perfect! I can now bolt the scratch plate on and off as many times I like using M3 bolts

Perfect for my purpose!
Got these to attach switch panels to a wooden frame in the campervan I'm building - will need frequent access in the future so woodscrews would not be a good plan.Wood is soft pine so tried a 5.5mm drill - insert went in easy enough but wasn't that tight, tried a 5mm - was a bit of a struggle to get the insert started but once in it felt perfect. Simply screwed an m4 brass panhead into the insert, screwed it in until the head hit the wood, then took the screw out - voila!Would recomend without hesitation.

Take care when inserting this product.
I was'nt quite sure how these threaded inserts were supposed to be screwed in. Unfortunately my first attempt using a slotted screwdriver simply caused a piece of the insert to break off. I then concluded that maybe the slotted end was the end that should have been inserted first, assuming that it's purpose was simply to aid insertion.

Late arriving, but fine when they did arrive.
They were quite late arriving, but did the job (attaching a Picatinny rail to my air rifle stock) perfectly.Excellent.
