This is a newer version of the pan moisture sensor that has an extra wire UPDATED 10/21/2020 FAILED
The prior version of sensor my Trane had went bad - unreliable reset after clearing moisture out of the system (due to a partially fowled condensate drain pipe in my condo unit - algae). The old one had only a 3 wire hook up. This newer version has an extra wire (grey) and I had to call a service tech to install it since it required a new connection off one of the transformers and a fair amount of time consulting with a senior veteran tech on the phone to get it hooked up right. The instructions and wiring schematic are pretty small print and hard to read for those wearing glasses - just something to be aware of.**** UPDATED 10/21/2020 After using the AC for just 3 months this sensor FAILED. RED FAULT LIGHT that shuts down the entire AC digital LED panel controller. Condensate pan at bottom of air handler is bone dry and the contacts are dry. The upper condensate drain port is also DRY. Cycled power - red fault light comes on very fast. TOTAL GARBAGE.

Nuisance tripping! DO NOT USE.
I'm a heating and cooling contractor that decided to use this product for almost a year. I would say over 25% failure rate is pretty high. The emergency pan sensors were bone dry, and some were not even in cooling mode for a long time prior. I removed the secondary drain port sensors, and they are bone dry. I cycle power, and the red light remains lit. I disconnect the port sensor, and recycle power. The red light turns on, but then slowly fades out, and the sensor control resets. I thought I was spending a few extra bucks on a better sensor, but it turns out, the old float switches are far more reliable. I no longer purchase or use this product, they have cost me numerous service calls due to a defective product. I've not had any issues since returning back to the standard style mechanical float switch devices.

Bad switches
I have a brand new ac system installed. Never neglected and all maintenances done. This AG-3000E Aquaguard system is installed on my drain pan underneath the system. The AC shuts off a lot due to this switch. No water or moister anywhere. When the red light appears the whole unit is shut down. I have made sure the switch is leveled and completely dry. I have also checked that the metal pins underneath are not in contact with the pan. It's a bad design or maybe I got a bad one from factory. I would honestly suggest to use the old school float design. That's what I'm instructing my AC tech to install.
